Believing that Jesus is God's Son, that He died on the cross to pay for our sin, and that God the Father raised Him back to life, we can be free from sin's power over us so that when we die, we'll live forever in heaven with our Lord. When we choose to follow Jesus, He sends His Spirit to live in us and show us how to live in a way that pleases Him
